Kabak's subject matter is pretty heavy though sometimes a topic as simple as performing to an empty house ('Play for Me') can serve as a breath of fresh air. He has won three 'Outstanding Achievement' awards from the GASC and four honor awards over the past 10 years. Was one of the winners of the Los Angeles International Festival of New Music and one of the finalists of the South Florida Folk Fest. He's been a five-time finalist, one time winner of the Town Crier Cafe's performance contest; five of his songs have been recorded to Fast Folk and one of them was used in the Fox TV show, 'Bonez.'"
