Two Yonkers-based Americana bands perform to benefit Beczak Environmental Education Center!

Spuyten Duyvil is an eight-piece Americana band blending traditional jug band energy with amped-up lap steel guitar and Chicago-style harp blues. Their 2011 release, New Amsterdam, received airplay on over 165 stations nationwide including Sirius XM’s The Village, was nominated for Best American Roots Album 2011 by The Alternate Root and made numerous radio top ten lists including DJs from WXPN, WFMT and WFUV.

This June benefit kicks off a summer tour including main stage appearances at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Madison Square Park’s 4th of July celebration, Caramoor’s American Roots Music Festival, Musikfest, the Black Potatoe and other regional music festivals.

Urban H20 is located at Beczak Environmental Education Center, along the west side of the Hudson River at 35 Alexander St., Yonkers NY 10701. Look for a beige stucco building with glass double doors in the front and a parking lot.
