Scott Wolfson and Other Heroes & The Levins will bring their infectious music and sense of fun to the Acoustic Café for some Pre-Halloween musical mischief and collaboration in this co-bill concert!
Scott Wolfson and Other Heroes are fast making a name for themselves as New Jersey’s indie folk powerhouse, spurring crowds into motion since 2011. . They are 2015 Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists, voted one of the Most Wanted Artists to perform on the main stage this year. Their debut album, Life On Fire, charted on Folk DJ’s list of most played 2014 albums, and the band has appeared onstage at the Black Potatoe Music Festival & the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Their latest CD, Welcoming the Flood, extends the boundaries of Scott’s rich lyrical imagery and the band’s big, catchy, complex sound. Scott’s soulful voice stands at the front of an inimitable band: Matt Laurita serves up tasty leads on guitar and banjo, Skyler Bode juggles keys and buttons, Chris Kelly drives the percussion, and Kirk Siee ties the room together on upright bass. Reviewers have dubbed them “musical scamps,” “dance hall folk” & “the future of folk rock.”
“This band doesn’t hesitate to ignite like a match on their fiery second collection, Welcoming The Flood. Listen to these dudes…these people are magicians…wizards…”

Contemporary folk duo The Levins offer harmony-driven acoustic music that is warm and uplifting without skating over the complexities of life. Guitar and piano, along with tightly blended unison vocals, reflect the couple’s own compatible musical and personal relationship which began with meeting at an open mike in CA. They are 2014 Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists, CT Folk Festival Songwriter winners, and South Florida Folk Festival Songwriter Finalists. Their My Friend Hafiz CD, was selected by John Platt, WFUV as a top 10 CD of 2013. Their latest release, TRUST, debuted in the Top 10 on Folk radio and “I Am Here”, a song from the CD was a 2016 Empower Award winner at the Posi Music Festival. Their music continues to connect on a universal level with a lighthearted depth and a celebration of our common humanity.
"The Levins speak to our better selves with their crystalline harmonies and uplifting lyrics.”
