Traditional Japanese ensemble shakuhachi koto and shamisen with Stephen Scholle and others
The shakuhachi is the traditional bamboo flute of Japan.  Stephen Scholle has been a practitioner of the instrument for close to 30 years.  Together with other shakuhachi players we will perform ensemble pieces with traditional Japanese string players on koto and shamisen.  If you have not heard this music it will be an opportunity to experience a whole new musical aesthetic.
