Radio Prison is Bill Reeve – drums, David Hamburger – bass, John McDermott – guitar/vocals, and Richard Lobovsky – keyboards/vocals and Erik Blicker – guitar/vocals. All members have deep musical backgrounds. Bill is a conservatory-trained jazz drummer, David was an original member of the band “Sample This”, signed to Electra Records, and toured the world playing bass with Poppa Chubby. John spent his formative years busking around Ireland and Europe and fronted an indie rock band in San Francisco for many years. He is also a John Lennon Song Contest honoree. Rich has been playing in bands for many years and has been involved in several recording projects. Erik is a professional guitarist, a composer for TV and Film, and one of the owners of the Flavorlab audio production company. Pulling from the rock canon, they can, and do play songs from all genres (classic rock, Indie, funk, soul, jam band,), plus their own original music. Tight arrangements with jams are Radio Prison's signature. They can keep it short and sweet and pay homage to the three-minute song, or they can take a song and stretch it. Never self-indulgent, all that matters are that the band and audience are enjoying themselves.
